Chief Superintendent Marcus Bramow entered the police service in 1998. As a member of the intermediate command service, he gained broad experience in various areas of police tasks (riot police, patrol duty, staff work). After being promoted to the senior service of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state police in 2011, he worked as a police commander on duty in an operations control centre.

Subsequently he managed an IT-project (development and implementation of software solutions for managing emergency call processing). For the past five years, he served as Department Head for operational management and transport sciences at the University of Applied Sciences for Police and Public Administration of Mecklenburg- Western Pomerania.

 

Since August 2020 Mr. Bramow is seconded to the German Police University in Münster/ North Rhine- Westphalia by Federal State Police Service of Mecklenburg- Western Pomerania. There he works as lecturer for traffic sciences and traffic psychology.

Mr. Bramow published several articles on different police related issues (e. g. public safety law, transformation from diploma to Bachelor´s degree in the sphere of German police education, knowledge management systems for police services, challenges of electric bicycles for daily police work)

 

Marcus Bramow holds a diploma in public administration from the University of Applied Sciences for Police and Public Administration in Bremen and a Master´s degree in police management from the German Police University in Münster.
